Westpoint Design Sofa

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am currently shopping for a sofa and had chanced upon Westpoint Design at the Furniture Exhibition at Hall 6 today. I was told by the sales person that the sofa from Westpoint Design is locally made.

The sofa which caught my eye cost about $1999...and I can choose between either Fabric or Synthetic leather. I was also told by the salesperson that synthetic leather is supposedly better. Any comments on this?

I felt that the worksmanship is quite good, but couldnt seem to find any reviews about them online. Anyone bought furniture from Westpoint Design before? Thank you.

$2,000 is a lot to pay for a synthetic leather sofa. Anyway, synthetic leather is not recommended because it lacks tensile strength, it tends to tear in a year or so. It's better to pay a little bit more for genuine leather.

i hope you didn't buy from this shop. I will posting shortly what they have done to me. complete waste of my time, to add insult to injury, the sales+boss were super rude.

Hi Bro,

I've ordered a 3 seater full leather sofa + 3FT coffee table from them at Expo last year too. The lady who served me was Katherine and she was good in explaining to us all the different type of leathers. I've not collected my sofa yet which will be delivered to us in March'11 (we have postponed twice and visited their factory once to choose the color).

Cant comment whether the quality will be good or not (what we saw on display is good, which is always the case) and will update once I've received it. So far on their customer service, I've got no complains about them as they are quite nice and polite. I think it's family business as I saw Katherine's sister when I went to the factory to select the color for my sofa.

From what we see at the factory, they seems to have lots of order and you can see how they actually make the coffee table.

Hope my input helps.. :)

Any feedback from those who have bought from West Point? We are considering to buy a sofa from there but can't find much feedback online...

Bad idea to buy leather sofa from them. Spent $1800 on a 3 seater leather sofa n sofa's leather started cracking, peeling and flaking after a year. Went back to them and all they could do was quote another $1200 to re-wrap.

upz for more reviews...

think westpoint design is the same as westpoint furnishing.. Usually people only chance upon them at expo shows...

Ordered a 3 seater L shape... leather sofa from them... price is close to $2k. Hope i have better luck than the post above...

Care to share the conditions/environment of ur place, might that have caused the peeling/flaking?
