Does Wooden Door Warp?

Recommended Posts

My toilet wooden door seems to widen by itself. The lower edge of the swing door is pressing onto the frame. Thus making it difficult to close . I trimmed a few mm off the surface using a saw. But 2 months later the same happen again. Does wooden door warp?

it will wrap especially when weather is very humid...

just give an example - but this is what happens in temperate country with 4 seasons....

During spring time, weather is super humid (worse than Singapore). wooden toilet door became very difficult to close.

however, once spring is over, the door will "recover" by itself and no problem with closing it anymore ;)

maybe it helps that you keep the toilet dry as much as possible? My mom always uses fan to blow dry the toilet after everyone has showered :)
