Is My Quotation For Electrical Reasonable?

Hi, am in the midst of looking for an electrician for my place and was being reccomended by my ID. Not sure whether it is expensive but it sure seems not cheap to me, maybe more experience forummers can advice? Thanks

6) To supply & install 2 way heater c/w 20A Isolator $280.00 per no.

7) To supply install 2 way light switch $50.00 per no.

8) To supply & install normal dimmer switch $40.00 per no.

9) To supply & install telephone point $50.00 per no.

10) To supply & install SCV point $110.00 per no.

11) To supply & install switch for hood, oven, microwave & cooker $80.00 per no.

12) To supply & install door bell point $60.00 per no.

13) To supply labour to install light fitting $15.00 per no.

14) To supply labour to install celing fan $50.00 per no.

15) To supply & install DB Box (12 way to 14 way) $350.00 per no.

A tad expensive if you work with him directly. The most important parts would be the items that you would have MANY of. Esp the 13A single or double sockets. You can easily have 20 of those around the house, depending on size.

If you're really unsure, just get quotes from 3 different electricians and compare. Quotes are quite standard, easy to compare.

Basically you do not need to pay that much as I find your contractor has been over charging on the price.

I got the following quote:

Wiring + switches (for 16 downlight + 6 Clipsal switches):$450

Install PLC Light: $10ea

Fan cw lights installation: $40ea

20amp:$120

Extend SCV Pt: $80

Extend 1 power pt: $30

Change switch: $25

Install of other dangling or normal light:$15-25 ea

All switches( clipsal) provided but not a licensed electrician. Any feedback on the pricing? Can i go ahead if he is not a licensed elec.??
