My style of cooking : steaming, stir fry, boiling and oven. No deep fry.... Never enjoy deep dry food. :) if I want deep try then will eat out. Hehe....

even stir fry can be oily... just look at my sis's place  but anyway, the cove lights will be on top, you won't feel the oiliness.... hahahahaha

You are doing a lot!!! Much more than me that's why need longer time. Then did wrongly so have to redo. :)

I also can't wait to see my whole house to be ready. Now my worries is abt my master toilet. Why I have to worry abt something every few days?? :(

what's the problem with the toilet?

When I stir fry, I use very little oil. Maybe just less than 1 tea spoon... Hehe.... Mostly I use water when I stir fry.

The seater too small to sit comfortably with mixer in the middle. But if mixer on the right, will knock the shelf.

Don't know how to solve that.

I am not sure, maybe around 2m? The whole height is 2.5m so considering the false ceiling as 50cm, then left 2m.

Why? You are doing something like this too?

RENOVATION DAY 30 : ACID WASH + GRILLES

Now that my reno is coming to an end, i feel very excited to move in. But when i think of all the packing i have to do, i feel so lazy. But thank God, this will be the last time i will move for a long long time. Hopefully no en bloc to my block until a long long time more.... maybe in 20-30 years time? hahaahaha....

But i am sure of 1 thing, i will do reno again after few years. Not because this time was not done well but rather, to save money, i have done some stuff as a temporary measure.

Back to my update, I went over yesterday, Saturday, morning with some stuff i bought which are to be installed in toilet. When i went over, there was only a bangla worker cleaning the floor. Painting has finished the day before, on Good Friday. hhmmm... the painter really didn't lie to me. He really can finish everything within 2 days. Of course there are parts to be painted later on, to avoid repainting. I am fine with that as long as the overall are done.

Was a crazy day as well as there are 4 different companies sending over my purchases.

Deliveries.jpg

I like my floor tiles.... after washing, now it looks nice and when i walk on it, it feels good. Although its not glossy type but i still like the feel and the looks of it. :)

And i like the orange doors that i will have for my guest bedroom and store room.

paintingdone.jpg

Grilles are done as well for Guest bedroom and living room as they faces the corridor. As for my kitchen, i didn't want grilles initially but i realised that even I can climb from the stairs next to my kitchen to go into my kitchen. :bangwall:

Grillesdone.jpg

Simple bi-fold door for my common toilet

Commontoiletbi-folddone.jpg

And lastly, all my energy spent these few days to pack stuff.... now i have 15 boxes and still counting.... if i don't reach 40, it will break record for the least stuff i moving. Yes, that's how much 1 person would have.... usually have 48 boxes so if this time only 40, it would be good. :good:

Wow! Your reno really gonna end soon. It was like yesterday that I started to read your blog. Nice! Love your overall reno and I think you are really innovative and resourceful. By the way, how was the electrician performance according to May's benchmark? Care to pm me your electrician contact number? Erh, if i say recommend by May, got further discount? LOL...

One question, will the acid wash damage the homogeneous tiles? Dunno read from which reno blog talking about this... Just wanna verify whether it is true especially on the polished homogeneous tiles..

Cheers:) Emobebe

When you go select your tiles, there are comment stated that "no acid wash". So for those, don't use acid to wash. For mine, no problem at all. The tiles are quite white so even use acid to make it whiter, I won't notice as much. :)

As for electrician, I can't tell you yet cos they have to come again to install all my lights. So hopefully everything done well then only I will know it's ok or not. :)
