i got it for $1200. Some forummers bought Yale/gateman which is slightly different from Samsung.

Samsung have a button where you need to press that, then a mini door will open for you to put in your finger to read the print, and the surface is like immigration, a piece of glass.

For Yale/Gateman, its like the biometric reader on laptop, where there are 2 strips of metal where you swipe your finger downwards for it to read the print.

Basically for both, the price range is about the same. you can get it cheaper by buying from parellel importers although i am not sure how is the warranty. Mine comes with 2 years warranty and 24 hours helpline if ever one day you are not able to get in no matter what you do (number lock, keys, finger print). :sport-smiley-018:

And also, for authorised distributor, samsung gave 5 keys, and yale is 2/3 only. but if parellel importers, i think only 2 keys. And this key cannot be duplicated!!! its so special that there are no ways you can get it duplicated.

I like it, cos now i don't have to worry about keys..... i had the same problem as you. I stay alone so i have no one at home to open door for me if i go jogging..... and bringing keys around is so troublesome especially when i am trying to bring as little as possible.

And the main reason is for my family. i do not have to worry about giving them keys when they come visiting as they can get in anytime they want..... or else, i have to duplicate 7 sets of keys and worrying about any of them losing my keys. :sport-smiley-004:

Thanks for the detail info ; )

After I start reading this forum, that's where my eyes open big big & wide wide :jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop:

Never know that items like these can be so costly. :~ :~ :~

i.e. I thought Seating type toilet is like $2-3xx or most like $4xx, but saw from another T-Post, its like $9xx for a TOTO brand (looks pretty normal to me, but the price like mmmmmm....)

Now with this lock, I am actually expecting like if it cost like below $5xx, can consider (faint). nop, exceed $1K. mmmmmmmmm :bangwall: :bangwall: :bangwall:

Siong siong... (my last flat was BTO, so only need some kitchen cabinet etc, nothing major. so it was easy). Now my re-sell flat (EA), need to do a lot more, also since floor area gets bigger, flooring means more $XXXXX.....

Now got to re-look at my budget (and also left over cash), since most have gone to the 5% cash + COV...

thanks a lot. Think for now will continue to carry those colored alu Keys (still lighter than most ; p ) LOL..

Thanks thanks ; )

it have anti-theft alarm, meaning that if anyone trying to temper with the lock, there will be alarm sound to scare the thief away cos neighbours might come out to look if there are sound. but the alarm are not link to police station or anything lah..... so no police will come by to have a look.

if you use normal lock, there will not be alarm too. so digital lock having alarm or not should not be one of the consideration lah.

Talking about toilet bowl, there are $200-$300 type. i bought one that are only $250. This is after i looked at 50 toilet bowls all over SG to choose this. Of course there are expensive type, TOTO brand of $900 is quite normal..... some of theirs are like $2k or $3k loh.... but for me, my guests won't care the brand and i don't think i would care too. as long as:

1) When i sit on it, its comfortable. So do the seating test while buying toilet bowl.

2) The flushing button is bigger than 1 finger. i hate those that only have space for 1 finger to press the flush (especially if you are flushing a half flush).

3) Its 1 piece toilet bowl. Its super IMPORTANT!!! Some people might not realised it, but if its 2 piece toilet bowl, there are gap between the seating area and the flushing area. that area is where most germs will accumulate cos the gap is so small that you can't really wash with brush. Then especially men when they do their "small biz" some of the extra will flow there.... then you can't wash it away. can you imagine how much germs there are in between??? i don't wat to imagine. :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop:

4) The curve of the hole - when you look into the toilet bowl, the place where there are clean water? some have curves and some are slants and some are quite straight. Well, it all helps in flowing your "big biz" into the water so when you flush, it can be clean? so the curve is very important for no stain on the side.

5) Slow closing of the lid - most toilet bowl now have this so its ok

6) PRICE!! i am very particular about all the criterias but also i am not willing to spend more than $300 per toilet bowl... hehehehe.....

i think i mentioned all these in my earlier post but i cannot remember where it is now. too many pages!!! zz

You can get cheaper digital lock, those without handle so you can use the existing handle of the front door but then some doors (especially those have a lot of designed) might not be suitable to fit with a digital lock. :P

Well...their price looks ok and I think they provide warranty as well. I remember there's a good buy in this forum. Can check out with the rest before committing.

yup, i heard of people buying from them on renotalk.

But like i said, they are parrellel importer so its really up to individual to trust them or not loh. i am not saying they are bad, i am just saying they are parrellel importer where they might give lesser actual keys and warranty might be different (authorised dealer have 2 years and parrellel important is 1 year if pay $30). I just read it online.....

I decided on manual locks cos I prefer to open the main door and keep the gate locked when I am at home.

different habits so depending on your habits loh.... if you need to open door, then no need digital lock.

Hi Battle,

Uou can try http://www.interlock.com.sg/ for digital locks

Thanks NeoBY : )

Will research more into it to see if I really need it.

Pretty true that if you keep the main door open most of the time, U won't need it.

Especially for my new area, the current owner have bought over the recess area and have a large iron gate installed, with a 6m sq area of recess area, they have build a store, shoe cabinet, small seating area to wear shoe.

For this, think might not be feasible to have digital lock since I will die die need to lock the iron gate... mmmmmmm..

Wah, another lesson learn today ; ) .....

Thanks for the detail explanation. ; p

My Mother-in-law's house toilet bowl was from previous owner (move in condition). hence didn't change anything. The seat height is really high (not comfortable) even for my height (1.79m). mmmm.

okok, let me go read back u'r post to find the brand of toilet bowl you purchase as reference ; p
