Piknik, check out sleek tblog. She have quartz and she will tell you don't waste money.

I went to search for sleek tblog, read up n down but I can't find the part u mentioned.

I went on to search abt quartz in this forum... Yah, very expensive... :jawdrop:

I have only consider solid surface so far, as I like how seamless it is with an acrylic molded sink.

My current kitchen has one like that, very nice...

But stained easily after years of using with less maintainance.. Sad..

Happy Chinese New Year. :yamseng:

May this year bring you happiness, health and wealth.

With love.

Piknik.

Aiya... Quartz n still stained.. :jawdrop:

Seem like nothing comes with minimal maintainance required.

Thanks for the info.

Choose cheapest option and after years of using then change loh. Not all expensive things will last.

Hi May_dream1

This is interesting : SHS-5230 ( Biometrics Digital Door Lock/ Fingerlock )

May I know what kind of price range does these equipment cost ?

Read through the specs, very interesting, can choose to access with only finger or finger + Key etc. (good to be able to go out without having to worry about forgetting to bring a key. Also good for me when I go jogging, don't have to bring key ; p )

Cheers

i got it for $1200. Some forummers bought Yale/gateman which is slightly different from Samsung.

Samsung have a button where you need to press that, then a mini door will open for you to put in your finger to read the print, and the surface is like immigration, a piece of glass.

For Yale/Gateman, its like the biometric reader on laptop, where there are 2 strips of metal where you swipe your finger downwards for it to read the print.

Basically for both, the price range is about the same. you can get it cheaper by buying from parellel importers although i am not sure how is the warranty. Mine comes with 2 years warranty and 24 hours helpline if ever one day you are not able to get in no matter what you do (number lock, keys, finger print). :sport-smiley-018:

And also, for authorised distributor, samsung gave 5 keys, and yale is 2/3 only. but if parellel importers, i think only 2 keys. And this key cannot be duplicated!!! its so special that there are no ways you can get it duplicated.

I like it, cos now i don't have to worry about keys..... i had the same problem as you. I stay alone so i have no one at home to open door for me if i go jogging..... and bringing keys around is so troublesome especially when i am trying to bring as little as possible.

And the main reason is for my family. i do not have to worry about giving them keys when they come visiting as they can get in anytime they want..... or else, i have to duplicate 7 sets of keys and worrying about any of them losing my keys. :sport-smiley-004:
