Scrapping Car

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have some questions here on scrapping car.

1. When my COe expire, do I sell the car to a dealer than to scrap it with LTA? I was told I can get $1000-$3000 more by selling to a dealer because the car has got some body value.

2. Do I remove the rims, tyres, radio, etc if they are the more expensive type and still in good condition before I sell to the agent or scrap it with LTA?

Thanks in advance!

if the aftermarket parts cost more, then u can replace it with a non-working model and let them scrap it, since it may no longer be renewed.

sorry, whether scrapping wif dealer or LTA, all items in ur car must be in working condition, regardless whether u're selling the car or scrapping it.

however, u can always replace ur expensive items wif cheaper ones and resell ur items to other car owners. and for that matter, sports rims means sports rims, not those metal wheels used by taxis hor. those are steel wheels, not sports rims.

i sold my 5yr old car with a faulty cd player but fm working, no problems. post-handover, that is no longer my problem, anyway, these dealers will know what to do and are prepared for such things, since they can't expect a 10yo car to be in perfect working order wor, from owners point of view, why shd they throw some more money to get rid of the car??? :D
