edenstrauss 3 Report post Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) I was told never to install any plants, real or artificial in my home. My element is earth so it could be because wood "ke" (opposes) earth. Some Geomencers also claim that artificial plants & flowers promote "tao-hua". It really depends on ur belief. If these issues aren't a concern for you, then just go ahead and do whatever u want to. Edited December 12, 2010 by edenstrauss

mae29 2 Report post Posted December 14, 2010 Hi edenstrauss & Kalimantan, Thanks for sharing info. Potted of plants can be used as screen or dividers to slow down Qi from rushing out. Plants can also be used as 'Activator' because it belongs to Wood elements and have live. It won't bother you if you place one or 2 potted plants in your home, but be mindful if you have more in the same place.

edenstrauss 3 Report post Posted December 14, 2010 ...also avoid placing plant (wood element) in fire location. Those poor plants r unlikely to survive in kitchens. Probabbly scorched to death by the heat emitted through cooking & boiling. Moreover, I don't think there's much sunlight in there.
mae29 2 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 Equiped with knowledge of keeping potted plants is more important than knowing where is the fire loaction. It will depend on where this topic is posted. If this 'Plant' topic appears in 'Landscaping or Gardening', then ofcourse knowledge of keeping them alive is more important. Here, we are in the Geomancy / Feng Shui forum and my comment is based on this aspect.

godloveyou 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 ...and so my comment here is where to put them, FS perspective. How to grow them, leave it to you to share knowledge and God's will for its survival. To be more precise, God has create law of nature that these potted indoor plants suit best to be placed where there are sunlight (artifcial light also can) for own-food making, no 24 hr light/per day hor as plants need "respiration", just like human needs rest. N, P, K elements also important. Root's spread size is directly proportional to plant's helicopter view area (view from top) - if want leaves/branches to spread wide, make sure pot is big enough for its root to spread to a certain area. Is south always "fire", then plants cannot put there????? I have "helped" you elaborated the four Celestial Animal formationn in the private property thread. I don't encourage superstition and hearsays. I belived in ke & sheng of 五行.
