Our Sycamore Place

Recommended Posts

Hi May, yep its a ceiling fan, called the Sycamore fan. If i'm not wrong the elmark distributor at paya ubi is the sole distributor in Singapore and it cost 1k.

Can choose with or without the rod. If you're getting this better use their installer. Its cheaper than what my electrician quoted anyway. Hope this helps.

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

I love what you did with the diffused lighting - I was desperately googling to find pictures for my contractor and so glad I found someone who did it up.

But the bay window feature is swee - thumbs up for that. Looks really original, envy!

Thanks for the compliment. Have to say the original idea was from another designer but she made it not completely straight and its in plywood so the texture and look is different from laminates

Congrate! You got a very nice place! May I ask for the Artimede Tolomeo, if you had it on alone, can its brightness cover the entire living room?

As I decided not to install any false ceiling as the HDB ceiling is already so low... I need to find out if I can depend on the Artimede Tolomeo alone.

Thanks!

Thanks ynwaa88 and khimwoon.

Hmm.. I guess it all depends on how bright do you want it to be? The artimede can support up to 100w incandescent but i changed it to 40w energy saving bulb. With that light alone everyone at the sitting area will be comfortable. But if one expects to read at the feature wall side with just that light then its not possible. Hope it clears your doubt.

Gorgeous, gorgeous place!

LURVE how you put the Scandinavian look together with so much thought - the result is precious!

Your location is also awesome - house-hunted the entire Joo Chiat/Telok Kurau/Kembangan/Siglap area without much success as everything we liked was too expensive or too small. Really job well done!

Yea they have hidden gems every now and then. Still gotta thank curryqueen that i've come to know about hock siong. Have you joined their facebook page yet? Its updated quite periodically and when they have new stuff coming in. But the good stuff usually snapped up fast. And i mean real fast. Haha

@ely Saw your tblog too! Nice space to work with and seems like it gets lots of natural light. Nice!

Compliments to the id who can accomodate my scandinavian fetish haha. But i still feel its more towards modern contemp than scandi though. Well, next time then :)

Thanks reglxt & el loco!

El loco, pm me your email so that i can pass you the quotation? Its in excel file and i'm not sure how to attach that in pm

ID is project file btw. Would definitely use them again for their design aspect and budget allows. But i would definitely source for my own electrician.
