spikyfur 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2010 (edited) ID company hunting report! Artrend : First ID company we went. Was at balestier browsing for lights and stuff. Random walk-in as we thought their show room looks nice. Was attended by... can't remember his name and no name card... anyway had a 2hour discussion with him as we hadn't any idea what we really want to do. Enjoyable talk, told me to give him 3 days for a quotation to come out. Well, its been 2 months and still no news from him *** : Was bored at home so went down to the few IDs which was located in my neigborhood. There were like 5 IDs companies around and I went in to LCT, Id looks the youngest.. armed with better knowlegde, discuss with her my big plans. Told me to give her a few days for the quote. And fast enough, the quote came the next night. My first Quotation! Pricing looks fine, but wife not comfortable with the ID company, coz the design they gave looks outdated. Hamid and Sons: The other ID i went in my neigborhood. Same feel as LCT, but reviews online made me sceptical. skycreation: Requested for quote under renotalk webby. Attended by Adam Chai. Mixed feeling about this company, waiting to see completed project. price was a little over budget D'trenzo: Requested for quote under renotalk webby. Attended by Jorence Lim. Nice chap, confident with his work. Gave me quite a lot of new ideas. He suggested a nett price with include any additional plumbling and electical works, which was a pretty good deal imo. Went to one of his apartment that he had complete renovation. Work was ok, but lacking in a little in the details, like paintjob painted over the line, cabinets edge a little rough, still acceptable to me but wife worried about the little details. One of my shortlisted ID Xerxes: Was collecting my marathon race pack at expo, chanced upon this company at the homefair. Very skill in their marketing, kept pushing their $1000 painting package + interior design consultation with multiple 3D drawings. Was really considering them until i went on renotalk on the spot and found out the nasty reviews. We kindly walk away citing budget problem. Very pushy but we manage to break loose. At night he sms he will give me the package for $100 but only 1 3D drawing. Was disgusted by this sms. Call me the next day, told him I saw the reviews they had, and was really uncomfortable, stopped calling ever since. Rezt&Relax: Saw this company at the expo too. Attended by Alexis. Really nice girl. All in all, we met 4 times. She brought me to one of the house they have completed a few years back, and all the carpentry was still in tip-top condition. Pretty impressed with their product. She gave us the most ideas and we have adopt almost everything in our latest proposal. Not pushy and was willingly to attended to us till midnight. Its really sad her quotation overshot our budget by at least 7k. One of our shortlisted ID ID Note. Called Henry, told me to send him email.. still waiting for an answer after 1 week. Got a call from him for clarification of requirement. Told him i was in his area so dropped by his office. Pretty sleazy ah his work area. Taunted by old auntie for special services..... anyway, nice uncle la told him my ideas. discussion done in less than 15mins. withnin 2 hours got his quotation. Its true his quotes are the cheapest among all i had gotten. most likely shortlisted, till we see his finish projects. ** hmmm quotation seems to me that he didn't understand me on a few things. need to talk to him again. Senz Contract: Attended by Kelvin. Honest looking guy, but very soft spoken. Went to one of his carpentry projects, workmanship was normal, lacking details like abs edge not that fine. Wife mentioned the design a little outdated, i told her most likely is because the owner wants it that way... Still waiting for his quotes. 2Form: went Tradehub21 chanced upon this company. Feels the same with any other company. Told me she will give me the quotes at the end of dec as i told her i will only confirm in jan. * Interior: went Tradehub21 chanced upon this company. Lots of hand written good reviews on their tables. A bit sceptical. Still waiting for quote. CitrusBox: Arrange for quotation thru icompare.sg. Engel and SK attended to me, seems like a husband & wife company? Love their lifestyle of living and working at the same place. anyway, nice people to talk to. Hope they understand my ideas. Waiting for their quotation. Earnest Interior: Found them thru renotalk, Attended by Kennedy, he looks stylish and trendy, hope he have good ideas for the renovation. nice chatting with him. waiting for quotation.
