ymjp100 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2012 At home, we both like our Audrey Kawasaki prints so no trouble with hanging them at home. Although there are people who may raise an eyebrow, or two, after seeing paintings of scantily clad women looking lost and forlorn. We started collecting in 2007 and have built up quite a fair amount of her prints. There are another two more prints not framed and we will take our time to do those. It's actually quite lucrative to collect her prints, if the prices on ebay.com are to be believed. For example, we have her Mizuame print, it's going for USD499. The pieces for her prints you see being exchanged on ebay is frankly quite ridiculous. The frames and framing are done by Ittibaa. Funny you should mention "She Who Dares"....there is a piece on ebay that is priced to sell at USD1499.99.Omg... Audrey Kawasaki fan.I love her art but did not manage to get hold of her time release print Charlotte last year.Well, I am quite sure the wifey will not allow me to hand it in our new house~ Your frames are excellent choices. May I know where did you get them frame? Are you using museum glass and the cost should be quite high?Love the Two Sister print but after seeing the print She Who Dares, one word ~WOW
ahlipz 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) Probably you are interested in Amy Sol print as well.Doubt I can afford to pay such price for Audrey print on ebay. I have quite a number of prints but managed to frame only one by Dan McCarthy. How much did you pay for the frame? Hope to hang a few of the prints on my new home. (including movie posters)Ahhh.... Just saw your Two Sisters at the Ittibaa website. We thought Amy Sol makes wonderful images but found the illustrations by Audrey Kawasaki are more appealing/alluring. Dan McCarthy has been on my radar for a few years. I especially like those with silhouettes of trees, power-lines at night. Where did you get his prints from? Are they original prints? The prices at Ittibaa are quite reasonable for its quality. Prices vary according to type of frame and size.

Twinkie 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2012 (edited) Hi Ymjp100, Many thanks for your advice, and yes, I ve been looking for inspiration for my new place too. Adidaem's apartment is really sweet too. I was in Toronto on holiday last december (3 weeks of hanging around toronto with alil skiing haha) and their furniture stuff in downtown toronto were simply amazing, esp those vintage furniture shops in downtown toronto.I ve decided to go for the eclectic and shabby chic look (don't know if it's possible but id try haha) My present home is now rather cluttered with some artwork and quirky stuff, e.g. : I have a vintage style art deco flapper mannequin head which I absolutely adore Shall post some of them as soon as I learn how to post pics on renotalk haha Cheers!
