Extreme Makeover @ Pandan Gardens

Recommended Posts

Nicolas, the sales staff who serves us, came personally to swop the mattress! The 8" thick mattress, brand ContourMatic, costs more than the LaContessa super single mattress. I heard from Nicolas this is the first time X'Clusive Home loans such branded high quality mattress to customer!

I showed Nicolas the mattresses in other rooms:

- Sealy Kingsbury Queensize for mummy ME!

- Sealy Jade Kingsize for Eldest son, bedroom 4

- Sealy Mayfair Super Single for Second son, bedroom 3

So, do you expect me to let my youngest son sleeps on cheap quality mattress, whereas we have confirmed & bought their recommended brand, LaContessa(can refer to earlier post on how we ended up with this LaContessa brand for youngest son)?

I asked Nicolas to go back & tell his Director once more, after seeing our reno & quality of itemd we purchased, why this mother is so persistent & why this mother is so angry when they sent us the inferior mattress for my beloved youngest son!

He gave assurance again that the cheque for $1800 will not be deposited until we received the mattress we ordered.

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request
Hope the temporary mattress is acceptable.

Hi, wahlao1

At this hour, and the prompt corrective action, and the efforts made by X'Clusive Home to satisfy customer, I am happy to accept the temporary mattress.

I was told that after 2 months, if my son likes & get used to this memory foam ContourMatic mattress, we can keep it at the same as compensation for today's agony!

:)

This evening, also managed to find time to visit my fsm's office to collect the booklet on Moving In Ceremony. Now, I am heading to NTUC at Jurong Point, which opens 24 hours, to buy those items listed in the manual for my kitchen.

If i were to be in your shoes, i will still go ahead and stop the cheque payment. And i'll also ask them to pick up the fee involved. U ordered what u wanted, paid for what u wanted, but what u wanted was not delivered. Simple as that, it's a matter of principle.

Hi, rickoveron

I should have thought of asking them to pay for the cheque cancellation fee when I argued with them last night.

I was given the assurance that the Boss had instructed their Accounts not to bank in my cheque when the delivery guy pass it to them this morning.

Further, as the temporary mattress is of equivalent value, and brand new one, I try to let it off for now.

Principles are important but that would then leave Mae with her youngest son without a bed and mattress just before moving in and two days before CNY.

Good solution found all round it seems. The power of complaint ;) . My wife is also very good with it. I think it is all the practice she has on me that allows her to fine tune her skills :D

We almost ended up without a bed & mattress if they didn't swop with a comparable range of mattress for my youngest son.

That's the power of complaint with a valid reason.

If suppliers & my ID have an award for 'Best Nasty Customer', I know I would win the prize! :D

This morning, went to Giant to get 2 red pails & some fruits including 2 pineapples with head & tail intact for today's move in ceremony. As I was also asked to get few pieces if charcoal, I remember Daiso sells these charcoal in Japanese packing.

The sun was still bright at around 1pm this afternoon when I started the ceremony. A light shower started around 2pm while we were having a cooked meal.

Today, our last piece of furniture has arrived too!

I will post up the batch of photographs soon...

Stay tuned!
