Extreme Makeover @ Pandan Gardens

Recommended Posts

hi there,

jus 1 quick qns, so is RAT inauspicious in this rabbit year?

i thought both r furry animals n shld be friends?

:)

In general, 2011 is a good year for Rats. Rat is water element, and 2011 chart lacks water element to grow the wood, which is wealth element for 2011.

Hi Mae29,

I am really impressed with your detail of your reno work. Single parent to 3 kids and sold bread winner yet you have to manage the whole reno yourself.

Taking time off during lunch time to visit the progress and so on... .

I am sure with your dedication your house will turn out very nice.

I will be starting my 2nd reno and hence has begun starting my research. My 1st reno ID was ok but the capentry workmanship was not up to my standard.

May I know how you find the capentry workmanship ?

Appreciate if you could share the ID detail, Electrician detail and capentry (if not fr the ID firm). thanks.

Take care !

Hi, WahLao1

Many thanks for visiting my blog and your kind words which I'm really delighted that my efforts are noticed.

I was invited to attend another 2011 Fs talk at Suntec today. Then went to IMM to buy a big mirror & lug back home by taxi. Took a few pic for work done on Sat, and now at Bukit Panjang interchange while typing this message. Battery of my iPhone left 9%, so I will respond to all queries tomorrow morning.

Good nitezzzz

Pole System Wardrobe

MBR - I customised 4 drawers altogether; 2 drawers come with locks for personal documents and one with 'pigeon holes' for my belts, scarfs., chain belts, etc.

grq4_46c_uc4it.jpg

Kitchen Cabinets - Blum systems

Blum systems installed for all drawers. Those big & deep drawers come with red mechanism which are series S4 heavy duty types. The rest of small & shallow drawers on left bottom cabinet are the normal Blum. All doors with hinges changed to 'soft' closing type. Paid over $1000 for these Blum components. You will also noticed that all interior partition are grey colour Polycam....and I also paid additional $$$ for whole cabinet (top & bottom carcase).

However, as 5-Yellow resides in my bedroom next year, i.e. after Feb 4, I can't renovate the room until an auspicious date is selected. Let me think about it, while ID think what to do with that wall, so as not to block the natural lights coming from windows to the Living Room just outside.

I dun see anything wrong w that wall... did i miss out something?

Newly painted wrought iron gate looks good as does the whole place. Good stuff.

If I close one eye, I can accept. But when I open both eyes big, it is horrendous! A bit regret painting the gates. :bangwall:

As the handles on gate are both rusty, I may change the gates after CNY, probably in Mar or April, as both sectors are beneficial, auspicious sectors of the year.

That's exact statement given by my ID...nothing wrong with the wall with fan coil sitting above the beam. Maybe I am used to having something there before (it was my wardrobe, but gave way for natural lights), so now it is kinda 'empty'.

Over $1000+ is for the Blum components alone, i.e. the base running tracks & the components on 2 sides of the drawers. The base of drawer is grey polycam material, not metal.
