manutd1972 1 Report post Posted January 22, 2011 where is this mounted? how does it work? Is it activated automatically or need to switch on manually each time? it is mentioned in product description tt this is to be mounted on door. u activate it whenever u want to arm it, even during bedtime, so tt the alarm will go off and wake u up should there be a break-in. as far as i knw, all burglar alarms nd user to activate when leaving house in order to turn it on. even if got auto-activation, hw wld it logically work? based on opening and closing of the main door? then everytime u open and close the door, u need to key in ur pin to deactivate the alarm? imagine when entertaining and doing it for every guest who arrives. or when u just step out into the corridor and the door accidentally closes? or when you go out but a family member is staying home? if he needs to open the door, he has to deactivate the alarm? way too troublesome compared to just simply activating it whenever u want to turn it on.
