Stainless Steel Kitchen Top

hi , i have considered stainless steel top but ended up going solid surface because i m afraid that the joint lines may not look so good after they wrap it around the wood.

both solid surface and stainless steel got pros and cons, have to live with it ba.

every time i wash up after meals, have to ensure that the SS top is clear of water, if not will leave a water mark there. I think solid surface no such issue right?

the joint lines not obvious at all, as for the pictures, will try to put up these few days.

Hi everyone,

I've been missing for sometime bec was busy with our new place. Wanna show everyone pics of our dream stainless steel kitchen top. We wouldn't believe our eyes when we saw our stainless steel kitchen top!

Back track, we almost give up hope of the idea of installing stainless steel top on our kitchen cabinet in our 5 rm HDB bec it was very difficult to find someone that has the confident to do it. But our contractor managed to find for us. Over mounting of the sink was successful so that it will not look different. Colour of the kitchen tap also to be considered so that it matches the stainless steel kitchen top.

Thx! I enjoy my time at my kitchen! Regardless when I cook, cleaning up (make sure no water stains on d surface, tidiness) as well as admiring my stainless steel kitchen top. D kitchen came out as what we aspected.

Very satisfied with d overall of d workmanship works. Bec d stainless steel specialist/boss is my contractor's bro gd fren! Carpentry works as well as skills of installing d stainless steel works are very important and require much attention.

Yeah, that was our initial idea, but we were told it's not allowed by hdb to install chimney in hdb kitchen.

I'll pm u my contractor's contact info. Think shub be able to discuss with them ur preferences. Just for ur info, we bought our own slim hood, oven as well as kitchen tap. We tried to match d colour as close as possible,

It's not true that HDB does not allow Chimmney in the kitchen. Reasons why contructor say this to you:

1. Maybe you told them that you want chimney when the cabinet almost done in the factory.

2. He doesnt want to change the design anymore.

We were given both options. Kitchen cabinet was not installed at that time. We decided on slim hood eventually as we can have extra cabinet on top of d slim hood.

Stainless steel kitchen looks so good. Having the idea to renovate my kitchen.
