lazybum9 1 Report post Posted December 22, 2010 thanks may dream maybe you can get quotations from contractors for comparison? contractor's pricing is usually rather reasonable, they can do a good job as well i got the sun control film from jestac, will pm you the price. mine is mid range though and its reflective.. think w/o the film the house looks brighter but we really can't stand the heat sometimes so decided to put up the films reglxt, how is the 3M film helping in the heat reduction??? effective??? I'm considering to install for new place too...
payton 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2010 (edited) Hihi january thanks for your kind words.. dont worry your house will look even better once everything is up mine is just normal false ceiling.. contractor cut 3 holes and fit in the led fixture.. the black thingy is just black paint there are clips at the sides to hold the fixture on the false ceiling.. if you want i can take upclose pics for you this weekend fixture pic Hi reglxt, May I know how much you paid for the dual and single LED light and where you got it? Is the LED screw type (E27) or push in type (MR16)? And does it comes with any transformer? Also, I've reply on your queries on the serta bed. Check out my t-blog! reglxt 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2010 Hihi Lazy bum you got City View ah! Lucky you, very nice place but too expensive for me .. the balcony seems really big though Oh.. the trunking is meant to support the mirror cos back then they just fixed the mirror and glue/epoxy have yet to dry up the wiring is running by the side, concealed. Hmm for the solar film.. to be honest i have yet to stay in the house so cannot give any comment for now but the house is cooler and darker than before

january 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2010 I've installed solar film before, and I think it's money down the drain. Doesn't help to reduce heat at all; then again my unit is west facing, so maybe the afternoon heat is just too strong. I think solar film is more useful if you live the air-con lifestyle, not so much if most of your cooling is done by fans. One thing the solar film is good for though, is UV protection. The colours of the upholstery and bedding will not fade as quickly.

From my understanding, for better heat rejection its better to go for higher heat rejection % http://solargard.com/Residential/Glossary
