reading about food makes me hungry! And jackson place - how I miss it!

there is also a goh hiang stall in one of the coffee shops that's really good! Dunno if they are from jackson itself? You know where the hawkers from jackson went to?

Hahah.. me hungry too went to cook one packet of char mee

not too sure about the ngoh hiang but i heard the dim sum there is not bad.. hand made ones

also should try the prawn mee.. cos they got many ingredients like abalone, bamboo clams, pacific clams, razor clams, intestine and etc.. can mix *nice*

I love the Xmas tree... makes the house look like home! Really exciting to see the final product! Mine just started tiling today :( I'm really praying that they can speed up! I bought the tiler tea and curry puff today, hoping that he'll work harder! LOL.

I miss Jackson place too. But I think eminent plaza down the road is nicer! Just went there for frog's leg porridge the other night. Super crowded mans.

Hello... Your reno is shaping up well... hang in there! You'll be done sooner than you realise.

I see you made the light trough in your living area as well. I think yours looks better than mine! Hmm. May I ask what material your ID used for the black portion?

My ID proposed black acrylic in the beginning but apparently it's not enough to support the weight of the lights, so he used black glossy formica instead. I can see that the laminate joints at the corners, it's quite annoying.

Hihi january :)

thanks for your kind words.. dont worry your house will look even better once everything is up

mine is just normal false ceiling.. contractor cut 3 holes and fit in the led fixture.. the black thingy is just black paint :P

there are clips at the sides to hold the fixture on the false ceiling.. if you want i can take upclose pics for you this weekend

3M sun control fim is up

left panels without film and right panels with film

IMG_2167.jpg

IMG_2163.jpg

the view looks clearer after installing the film

IMG_2174.jpg

my dotter was watching the guy installing the film and irritating him by asking many questions (she is just like 247 redifusion radio)

"why ah uncle ,why this ah why that ah"

irritate the sh*t out of him

IMG_2170.jpg

Great location and your house looks great too. I just met my designer and renovation going to cost me more than I can afford. Don't know what to do now :(

By the way, how much did u pay for the 3M film? Where you get it from?? I also want to do the same thing. The very obvious is with film, can see cloud clearly so actually having it can see better?? I always thought without can see clearer. Hehe.... Thanks for sharing.

thanks may dream

maybe you can get quotations from contractors for comparison? contractor's pricing is usually rather reasonable, they can do a good job as well :)

i got the sun control film from jestac, will pm you the price. mine is mid range though and its reflective.. think w/o the film the house looks brighter but we really can't stand the heat sometimes so decided to put up the films
