Positioning Of Hood/microwave/toaster Switches In Kitchen Top Cabinet

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am planning to 'hide' the cooker hood, toaster & microwave switches inside cabinet right above cooker hood. Is it advisable to do so to achieve a cleaner look rather than exposing most of switches against back splash?

Will it be rather inconvenient to open top cabinet everytime you wish to use appliances? Another alternative is to hide the respective switch on corner of designated compartment.

I guess it depends on a person's habit and lifestyle. Some people would prefer to have these switches at a convenient place if these gadgets are often used. While others emphasize a clean aesthetic look hiding them away.

Hehe, I would go for clean aesthetic cos habits can change. :)

think strictly speaking, powerpoints inside cabinets is not allowed... if ur flat undergoes PUB inspection sure fail one.

think it also depends on how often you use these appliances? If once in a while, I would go for aesthetics. But I can't imagine having to do this daily, in the end, I am end up not closing the cabinet altogether. For me, practicality rules
