as long as you use lawyer service , you need to pay.

For refinance, it is depend how much the bank give lawyer subsidy.

As lawyer subsidy is tie to how much you loan.

The less loan, less lawyer subsidy. You need to come out more cash for the lawyer fee

So I suppose there is some sort of bank mortgage loan insurance similar to CPF Home Protection Scheme for HDB? I suppose we had to gather for it if we will to venture into bank loan.

Not of what I know.

If take HDB loan, HDB will want you to take HPS either thru' HDB or private insurance company.

If take bank loan, I'm not too sure on this.

Mortgage loan is different from CPF HPS. This one I quite sure

Apologies for my wrong again, I am refering to mortgage insurance rather than mortgage loan. I'd heard from my colleague abt this mortgage insurance for his condo purchase. Anyway, he had just did another refinance after surpass his lock in period, an astonishing 0.78% interest rate for his 1st year.. for detail I will need to enquire more...
