Gas Piping

Laying of gas piping (from outlet to kitchen cabinet) must be done by SP or can be done by any contractor?

must be done by SP. even linking to hob also must be done by them. they will then do a leakage test before turning on supply

OIC, does that means they would have to make 2 tips;

e.g reconfigure the piping, then linking to the the hob?

Yes, if they got to relocate the gas-meter to outside and connect the supply, it has to be 2 trips involved. must be done by citygas appointed contractor.

Copper pipe prices are quite high now, so be prepared to pay more for materials…
