Do I requires a 3 to 4 RJ45 port near my modem? Thanks. You only need one point at your modem/router area. If you need additional point, you can extend with a switch. Running RJ45 cable is like running electrical cable, you should always follow the trunking of the electrical cable and keep it hidden in false ceiling or cornice. In your rooms, you can get either a single or dual RJ45 faceplate depending on your needs. Also take note of the type of cable you need.
