Gynaec Specialising In Fertility Treatments

Hi all,

I am new to this forum.Have been married for 5 yrs unfortunately unable to conceive yet.I have been consulting gynaec at KKH regarding infertility issues for quite long.Now that we are not very happy about KKH in general,we would like to change to another hospital/gynaec.

Can somebody please suggest me a good gynaec who deals with infertilty issues? I have heard about a couple of famous gynaecs but seems to be very expensive and moreover waiting time is quite long. Is Gleanegles or Thomson Medical Centre more expensive taking into consideration that we will be doing tests, scans or procedures in course of time?

I've been married for coming to three years and have been trying diligently to conceive. I was with Thomson Medical initially but the gynae likes to push me to do lots of test and go for some operation to increase the success rate of pregnancy because she suspect that I have endomentrosis. Thereafter I stopped going to her and went to Eu Yan Sang for a year but still no result. This Wednesday I'm going back to Thomson Medical, but to another gynae, I read from a few forums - Dr LC Cheng for consultation of IUI. I've been rather depressed lately because non of my friends have problems conceiving and I have nobody to share with. I'm glad to find this forum which can hear my cries.

U might want to try the following gynae whose used by myself & my all my sister inlaws as she is a very very well-known Gynae in Singapore, also known as the mother of test tube babies here for us Singaporeans:

Back in the 1980s all the way to 1990s, she was very very well-known as a state Gynae in Singapore's government hospitals. During those days, Professor Tsakok would be delivering for the VVIPs' wives.

After my mother gave birth to me in the 1970s, she wasn't able to conceive for the next 10 years. Through the wife of a big gun (i.e. someone with very high social status), my mother was referred to Professor Tsakok and shortly thereafter, she gave birth to my 2nd sister, who was named after her. And, my 3rd sister followed & came along really fast - so their birthdays are exactly 1 month apart from each other!

My mother got so fertile that she went back to Professor Tsakok for some operational procedure (to stop conceiving).
