We've finally moved in!

Well it's been about a week.

There have been even more issues with leaks in the bathrooms but it's all resolved now.

Some of the furniture is not in yet... like 2 beds from Sanctuary Dian. Lamps. Balcony stuff. Some chairs. It's not showflat condition yet!

I think the Getha mattresses are the best buy of the reno. We have 3 in the house. They are extremely comfortable to sleep on... much better than my old mattress. Highly recommended!!

Fyi, the dishwasher is awesome. However, it does take 1.5 hours to do what I can normally do in about 20mins. haha. But I hate dishwashing so it's awesome.

And for people who are thinking of doing what I did and putting the washing machine on a table, DO NOT DO THAT. Yet. When the machine is spin drying the clothes the whole table will vibrate like crazy. We're thinking of getting reinforcements for the table... like a cross brace or something. Right now it's a little scary.

We also have mio tv now and they have cantonese drama on demand! omg how come I never knew about that. It's freakin awesome.

Will put pictures up once the flat is in a showable condition!

congrats... finally moved in liao~

hmmm the washing machine sounds dangerous. i guess probably a dryer can go on the table but not a washing machine, since dryer's spin is less vigorous?

Hi marshmallow!

Yeah there's a reason why allll the showrooms put the dryer on top and not the washing machine!

We've strapped down the WM to the table so that it wouldn't vibrate off the table.... but it's still scary to use. Need another solution for that!

Washing machine vibrate very strongly!! Only dryer can be put on top. Hope you will be able to fix it to the table properly....

The getha mattresses are so good?? Wow!! Ok, I will keep in mind next time I buy mattresses... :)

If anyone is into retro vintage 2nd hand furniture, I highly recommend going to Like that One to take a look!

Hi January,

Congrats on your lovely new house. Love your garden in the sky balcony. Cant wait to see more pics.

Me like Like That One too. Lots of interesting and one of a kind stuff. Bought an arm chair from there last year. It has become the family favorite. Thought of getting a sofa and one or two more armchairs but the furniture bug seems to have stop biting...getting really lazy and burnout from all the "before move-in" shopping.... :(

wow. Haven't been here for a while... Renotalk sure has changed! I quite like this updated look...

Hope everyone is feeling happy and rejuvenated after this long weekend! How I wished I had another day...

This weekend was pretty much spent unboxing and tidying up stuff... I've moved for almost a month and many things still have not found the right places to be... guess this is gonna take a while to get everything nice and neat.

Let's look at some pictures now shall we? Pardon the mess!

boxes!

O.M.F.G I clicked the link. Helloooooo, lover.

I want to buy EVERYTHING from the store. I feel like passing out. God help me should I ever dare to enter the store, will bring my Ventolin inhaler lest I get too excited. I have a feeling The Husband will definitely NOT be sharing the excitement.

Please state disclaimers before posting links - I'm now going through every page of their Flickr album and trying to resist running out to grab a cab there.

HI January

I was considering real grass at my balcony planter when I stumbled upon your forum post. We asked around a few IDs and they all said real grass is too troublesome.

Can I check the following?

1) How is the maintenance like (e.g just use water to wash?) or how often do you clean it?

2) any issues with the drainage so far since its been about a year since you installed it?

3) What is the type and grade of grass you use?

:) Thanks in advance!

Hi January,

Would like to check, how was your experience keeping the washing machine on top of the dishwasher.

Can you please share details where i can find the steel stand as i intend to do the same.

Thanks
