othello 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2010 For those staying in HDB, please go to your respective town councils website. They have negotiated with a plumber to give VERY good rates. Look under Town Council Services > Handyman Services
zack007 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2010 I was recommended by a friend to contact this painter (Name : Pang). He and his fellow workers are Burmanese but their delivery and painting skills were very superb. If they promised to be by the house at 10am, they will be at your door step at 9:45 am. All floors and non-moveable items were well covered including the entire flooring. I used 2 different types of colors in each room and living hall. The line between the 2 colors was so amazing that I could not find any fault. I told him the color did not come out after the 2nd coat and he went to buy additional paint for 3rd coating. Very nice chap and worth trying. If anyone is interested, PM me for his contact. Pls note I am not related to him just a satisfied customer.
lynd3ralla 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2010 (edited) Often now, people source painters from the burmese helperrs. Mine was a burmese too. Very efficient and cheap. You may PM me if you want to contact them. Or if you need other types of contractors. I just did up my house in Pasir Ris. email me: lynd3ralla@yahoo.com Did my whole house 5room at under $700. I provided the paints of course. I bought alot of paint..i think about 10colours. And I bought Dulux means it cost a little higher, total paint works, $1200. Usually IDs charge my paintworks at a hefty $1900..due to the no. of colours I chose. So you can save alot if you find the separate contractors yourself. asiano7 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2010 I had recommend a good painter to this forum before and i believe some of you had already engage him before, trust me, i am not a relative or friend but just a very satisfied home owner who had engage him 2nd time for my parent flat last week. (note i am not getting commission either) The reason i am highly recommend him cos i am also like anyone of you who are worry calling those painter in the paper who might end up doing a bad job or hidden cost. this guy price are reasonable and he is responsible enough in his job to come back when i am not satisfied with any part of the area he had paint. Beside this , he had also recommend me a plumber who charge me only $15/- for minor plumping job (without parts) i think most ppl will charge at least $30/- for minor job cos of transportation. (this is the first time i am using him) For those who keen might want to PM me for both the painter and plumber tel. Hi Joemit, please PM me the contact. Thanks! Idea to consider can have piece of mind by buying own paint! Reno is already a tiring process, having to monitor on everything make it worse. Painting skill is also crucial too.
