Zebrano 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 Hacking are done in 2 parts. Hacking of tiles first then follow by hacking and erecting walls (HDB need more time to approve this). Took 1 1/2 weeks. Since mine is a 15 years old unit, decided to rewire the whole house for safety sake and change the DB box. As for the theme, initially want to go for resort style but in the end, became Modern. All furniture, furnishing are white except flooring(darker shade of beige), study room door frame and dinning room settee (Zebrano). Lighting all get from Lighting.com. Spend around $900 for the whole house except dinning lamp and downlights which I got it from another shop. Will be posting the works and completed pictures soon. Zebrano 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2010 Kor69 - Thks for your help. Frist time so really dunno how to post pics. Yah the flat color is striking. Previously owned by a friendly Indian couple with 3 beautiful children. kenlim_76 - The initial quote was $72,000 before discount. But because me and my wife need to stick to a tight budget, we omitted certain stuffs like a small island between dinning and kitchen, full length settee, Acrylic cabinet doors for study room (replace with laminate) etc. Final bill after discount is $48,000. Note that the price excludes lightings, heaters and furnitures. Quite reasonable although the price is not super cheap, the quality of the furnishing is something i am looking at and my ID can deliver. My Id has done my previous unit last year and was very happy with her.

Do up new sliding doors with wooden frame. Bedrooms 1. Standard for all 3 rooms, overlay with laminate flooring. 2. Walk-in wardrobe for master bedroom. Toilets 1. Common toilet hack off all tiles and 1 of the walls that eat into my masterbedroom. 2. Do up new wall and floor tiles 3. Change toilet bowl for all toilets Misc 1. Painting of whole house 2. Confirm there will be another ID that can give $45,000 based on the same thing but then the quality might be compromised. But as for me, quality is most important. Tats y i never seek 2nd opinion cos i know my ID will give me the best she could and within my budget.
