montek1234 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2010 Hi, I want to know what should the main door ideally face inside the house. It is commonly said that there should not be a window or a door opposite main door as qi will escape too fast. In my house we have a blank wall opposite the main door which is at a distance of around 15 feet. In between is the living room. Does this hamper the flow of qi??. Is the wall an obstruction for qi? If there should not be a wall neither a door or window, then what should the main door ideally face, since it has to face something.

Hi although I am no FS expert but this is a very common layout. moreover if the wall is 15 feet away from main door, I don't think there really is any big issue. My friends who were staying in the newer flats at redhill had their main door facing a wall within 2 feet & their flats are fetching at about $785,000 right now. Should not hamper qi

Wow lau, by reading the thread header and content - 15ft "in front" of main door. Indeed rather "far away" from main door, in today's residential area. Must understand what this "qi" is all about, retain the good ones, bad ones let go. What are good, what are bad? How to retain? How to let go? Anyone ?, don't shy shy le, just share your thoughts. I guess all of us like to know "What" is it and its importance in fs context. Edited September 20, 2010 by bepgof
