Did you did any comparision among this two ? If have, how is the brightness ? ThanKs.
neubie 2 Report post Posted September 29, 2010 (edited) The model you got is Philips FBG304 (1x14w) right. I'm interested in getting the Philips FBG305 (2x14w). Did you did any comparision among this two ? If have, how is the brightness ? ThanKs. Of all things equal, the 2 x 14w shd be 2x brighter than 1 x 14w. Comparing with normal 2 x 18w, the 2 x 14w is more brighter. Ask for a demo and let ur eyes judge. The downside is: - it cost more ($45) - can only fit one dimmable easyscene bulb n no more space for the normal 14w tube Irrespective of which model u choose, removal of blown tubes is done by unscrewing the thumb nuts n remove the glass panel. Other brands may require prising open the glass frame (possibly dirtying the surrounding area of the ceiling). The size is slightly larger to accommodate twin tubes. So have to see does it look right in proportion to the false ceiling or L-box. Edited September 29, 2010 by neubie
