There are many options available such as tiles, stainless steel etc Glass is more popular now for sleek look and easy maintenance. But for some, may feel not good in terms of fengshui. If anyone intend to have glass backsplash, make sure your quotation states TEMPERED glass Always playing with words and so far have not come across people using non-tempered glass for that. Thks.can,but will be very expensive if it is meant for HDB as HDB lift cannot fit in 14ft in one piece.will have to carry up by worker through stairs.
