My household shelter door is facing my living room. I cover its hole with a clock that's exactly its size. You can also cover its hole with fake plants/flowers. Just don't seal it up permanently

Mine bulit a long cabinet to make seems like a door and a display to hidden the hole

I dun fancy covering it with a clock coz it is quite common ... hmmm

You can just install the metal plate (without the 4 stands), then get someone apply some plaster to cover it so that it looks like a wall. Still can remove if you want to in the future.
