velv 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) We are expecting arrival of the below Glass Decal and need some tips on how to go about as the instructions were all in korean. Had anyone attempted to DIY the glass doors? We would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance ! =D Questions : 1. which side of the glass to work on 2. what to buy? 3. do we use penknife to cut? RimBlock 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2010 Based on the pictures I would imagine the instructions to be; 1. Measure the size of the window / door and allow an overlap of 5-10cm in both height and width. Cut the decal to rough size. 2. Wash the window with window cleaner to remove dirt or grease. 3. Place the decal on the window starting from one corner and slowly working down. 4. Use the scraper to push any bubbles to the edge of the decal 5. Use a pin to prick and bubbles that cannot be moved and smooth the surface. 6. Use a straight edge (metal ruler or the like) and a craft / Stanley knife to trim the excess edge of the decal. Hope this helps. RB

This would allow you to adjust the decal. Thereafter use a scraper or credit card to scrap out the water. Edited August 23, 2010 by northguysg
Andymion 1 Report post Posted August 27, 2010 Yup. Definitely must add soap water to the glass door before applying the decal! After scrapping out the water and bubbles, just leave it to dry : )
