Installation Fees For Pull Out Tall Pantry Unit

Hi,

Need help, I intend to buy a pull out tall pantry unit from hoe kee or any other shop (height of a fridge). When I saw the one displayed in my contractor shop his was flimsy and do not look strong. The one I saw at hoe kee look stable and better quality built than my contractor's displayed unit.

My contractor quote me $480 for his unit and the one at hoe kee was about $500 (haven't discount). So I conclude for $20 more dollars I could get a better unit. When I told my contractor he said if I buy from out side he has to charge installation fees for it. Is it true?

if you let them do up your whole place, you maybe can nego with your contractor to waive charges ? you got the right to compare and buy your own accessories, try talking to him again ??
