Need Advice In Island In Open Concept Kitchen

Hi

Need advice on whether is it possible to put the kitchen sink in the island.

Have gotten 2 different opinions.

first id firm said that it is possible as can pull the piping to the island

second ID firm said that hdb will not allow piping to go underneath the kitchen tiles so it will be above ground (but it will look ugly :(

Anyone done this before as we prefer it to be under the tiles

Any advice much appreciated
