top to front 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 (edited) hi I am trying to get a 2 in 1 washing machine.... shortlisted LG and Samsung.... which is a better brand..say in terms of durabilty? http://www.lg.com/sg/home-appliance/laundr...-WD-14331AD.jsp http://www.samsung.com/sg/consumer/home-ap...&returnurl= any one using them ,would love to hear from your experiences... Thanks I'm using SAMSUNG WD8804. Just bought for a couple of weeks. Can't tell reliability as mentioned in the other thread... http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=32485 I'm using close to SGD1000 to try out a Korean brand WASHER + DRYER. Like you I have shortlisted to Bosch, LG and SAMSUNG. Finally bought the SAMSUNG as Bosch cost about SGD1500 for the WASHER alone. Can't really tell reliability as I only use for a few weeks. You may wish to visit more USA and Europe sites to check on these products. FYI USA WASHERS are larger ones while Europe has about same models. LG uses DC controlled AC motor while SAMSUNG uses AC. Both LG and SAMSUNG use brushless motors. I believe that is why they could provide 10 years warranty for their motors. Please verify with them. Bosch LogiXX8 also use AC Brushless... http://il.youtube.com/watch?v=cDm72H8ZpGc Please compare the features from the catalog. Based on the telephone calls that I made to both LG and SAMSUNG, I find that both companies in Singapore do not know their products well. However, SAMSUNG could provide me with answers quicker. Thus, I believe their customer service could be superior... I might be wrong. Good luck! Edited August 13, 2010 by top to front
