Hi All,

Am new to this forum. While searching for renovation for my new house i came across this forum.

I like the type of design i see from the pic from Artrend Design Pte Ltd. The one with many many mirrors in the designer-porfolio tab.

What is that type of design theme called? Modern? Can my 3room be done up that way? How much does it cost?

My budget is only 15k to 25k tho..

Congrats on your newly aquired apt.

Nice corner unit you have, but it's rather rare to see a 3-STD,

I almost choose a std but give it a miss due to the wierd toliet layout.

The cost of renovation really depends on what you wish to do to you apt,

with $15k, you can do a basic make-over like what forumer stray801 did. He mentioned he redid the whole house, rewire, repipe with kitchen cabinet at some 12+k

At 25k, you would probably be getting better quality materials, with feature walls stuffs.. etc

You can tell the I/D what you saw from Artrend Design, better still if you can conceptualized and show them then ask them to give a quotation. Don't be too fast to commit onto an ID/ Contractor.. get at least 3 quotes and get a feel of the pricing.

Last but not least, do take some time to look at the T-Blog chat This is where they post up their reno process. Like you, I started like a noob and pick up slowly. Gurus like Ossify and Jaskel are a gem to this forum, they are usually very approachable.

May I recommend you to visit your desired ID " Artrend Design Pte Ltd."

They would probably set the benchmark and you work your way base on that..

There's some highly referred contractors and IDs here, as well..

Designer House, ID note, A-Decor to name a few;

May I ask of you to visit some of the T-blogs to view their work..

better still ask the forumers whom engaged them.

ps: I've engaged Edmund from A-Decor, price is very reasonable. Renovation have yet started hence I can't provide any feedback yet.

Anyway, i think i will just do a walk in this thursday 19Aug to the contractors as kinda hard for me via email and phone cause this is my first time.

I am thinking of visiting 5 contractor on thursday with my mother and we will chose to use 1 of them.

Forumers please do advise me on your top 5 contractor you think is good with reasonable price

singapore should start regulating unscrupulous builders
