you mean in Singapore? Then the answer is no different....or not, very depending on the designer in the house.

in id firm:

the id who design for you very depending on their contractor to complete the work

in contractor firm:

the contractor is very depending on their id to advice to complete the work

very mix up right? so the best is to find someone who is designer & contractor itself

btw, if you come across someone who is not designer nor contractor, but a consultant, then very much good luck to you
