hi think if you are installing ceiling light, then no need to do false ceiling right?

also depends on what you want? are you having a ceiling fan? if so, will it be fan with light kit? On the other hand, if you prefer to have fan but not with attached light, then downlight will be the option.

You got a resale unit with false ceiling? If so,

1. The downlights already there right?

2. If were to change to ceiling, best to dismantle false ceiling, and u'll see many holes on ceiling, and need $ to patch up, painting etc.

3. Fix ceiling light onto false ceiling?

If you have no intention of tearing down your false ceiling, downlights are a nice touch to the room.

I used ceiling lights because downlights tend to be more energy consuming and harsh.

I prefer a cozy bedroom, but it really depends on what ur deisgn concept is about!
