Finally, Our Dream Hse!

Recommended Posts

Finally, we embarked on our journey for our dream hse. We have always been wanting an EM. But no $$$ to start. so now with the opportunity presented, we went ahead with our search. We was so fortunate to meet with 2 super nice property agents who are always there to answer any questions we have. Then now the wait begins. I dun like this wait. First, waiting for the OTP. then now, waiting for 1st HDB appt. after that, the 2nd appt. I am wondering if there will be any hiccups to these appts. Think I am such a pessimistic person that I always envisioned the worst. So, here I am, waiting n waiting.

Meantime, I have been told my agents to settle my ID as I dun have much time to dilly dally. so, i started to read on renotalk forums, get to know the more chosen IDs. Met up yesterday with an ID manager, Vincent, from I-Bridge. Very nice feeling given. even promised to allow us to move in after 4 weeks, promising to at least finish the top flr work. I am sure to make him sign for this...kekekeke Actually, I faxed in my flr layout to Square Rooms Mag, so there were 2 IDs who called. The other one from FuseConcept, I haven't decide if I shld meet up. Need to find out more.

Was interested in getting Henry from ID Note, as recommended by so many forumers. THere was even a club for him. Impressive! Anyway, he is not so keen to work on my EM as the time given to him is too short. but he was very nice to ask me to give him a call in mid aug to c if he can arrange something for me.

But first, I am gog to c a FSM. Was introduced by a colleague to Master Cecil Lee. Reasonable pricing n heard that he is not one who will ask u to buy things. So will talk to him first b4 making any decisions.

Anyone out there got any ideas abt IDs/FSMs/reno pessimism?

Not to pour "cold water", experience tells always to standby "worst scenerior", able one to "stand firm & absorbe the shock" in case it really crashes head-on.

The more "promises" a ppl makes, the more one should be wary of, likely all will become "empty promises", anyway, it is free of charge. Get him prepare you reno schedule chart, put 10% late delivery liquidated damage/per day clause some where, need not a single promise, just sign.

When "no problem", all agents are super nice, can talk "all day-long" in coffee shop from shop opens till closes. When situations come, will propose you "this & that" till you get angry and agreed.

It is good to seek "2nd opinion", but you should be the one to make final discretion. All these years, have been practising/perfecting the fishing skills. Try catching whatever fish as I like as & when, instead of asking ppl for fish. Hungry, then need to ask for fish again. There is nothing to be happy or sad about, in fact, cos under the sun there is no new things.

Today paid 5% for a $1mil "goose" in Tivoli Grande, 2 forumers asked me why so "fast hand fast leg", I did not reply then. Here is the answer; I bought the 1st pte "golden goose" in July 2005, now July 2010 - just easy to remember. I also don't want to wait & wait like taking roller coaster, many up & down, then back to original place again.
