Thanks for any idea or suggestion :-) hi i am facing the same too. Not decided what to do, but one possibility is to have two pendant lights on either side of the beam. eric75tan 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2010 hi any beams and columns are not to hack or remove... they are the bones of the building. so forget abt ever trying to remove them > my advice is to probably install string curtains and separate the living room from the dining /kitchen area....
