Outdoor Movie Screening @ China Square Central 30 & 31 Jul

For July’s outdoor screenings, we continue our series of local movies with two comedies - <The Best Bet> directed by the most commercially successful local filmmaker Jack Neo, and <Unarmed Combat> the debut feature of our young local director Han Yew Kwang.

Admission is FREE for the public. We will be giving out free Kacang Puteh! Only limited to the first 200 packets, so come early to get your free snacks.

This is a rain or shine event. Screenings will be shifted indoors if we encounter bad weather.

The Best Bet 突然发财 (PG)

The Best Bet revolves around Richard, Shun and Huang, three buddies who are obsessed with betting on 4D. Their friendships are put to the test when they struck the first prize and one of them decides to keep the winnings all to himself... A satirical comedy from Jack Neo, the film explores human weaknesses such as greed and deceit, and ultimately the triumph of the human spirit.

Unarmed Combat is a quirky comedy about human obsessions. When the beautiful Pingmei steps into Metal's laundry shop, he is immediately bedazzled. He cannot help but wonder why his wife is not like her. Unconsciously, he tries to change his wife to become more like Pingmei. Little does he know that he is about to set off a chain of events that will rock the foundation of his marriage and turn his life upside down!
