technically u all sign up with an ID/company liao, u all must hv contract integrity to follow through. You shd do your homework before signing off with any company. How can it be that only when things are in your favor then you want the contract to continue? But if things are not good, u want to cancel contract?

One must be fair to the IDs/contractors. Not all of them out there are bad sheep. Let's be honest about this. You just have to be more street smart in knowing who are the good IDs/contractors. But once you sign on the dotted line, you should keep your end of the bargain and follow through. If everyone doesn't have contract integrity, then we all don't need to do business already.

Hi my ID is Gary from Unimax. First heard about Unimax from a colleague and so we just went to Expo to see see. Gary was the ID that attended to us that day and since his services was quite good, we just stuck with him. Designs were out within 1 week and he readily made changes to the designs when we asked for it so all designs were completed within 2 weeks and after that was smooth sailing as Gary was very accomodating to meet us every weekend to go choose lights, bathroom stuff, tiles, laminates and paints etc. He also provided valuable advice on what materials, colours will suit which part of the house. Hence my advice is, good to look for ID at least 1 mth b4 you get your keys and when the keys come, everythg is just nice settled and they can start renovations, no need to wait.

Renovations was quite smooth, as the workers' workmanship was really commendable. On and off I added changes to the designs and Gary was most accomodating about it, asking his workers to edit here and there to suit us. Really thanks Gary! Everything was completed within 2 months and I can only say my $$ is well spent. Everyone who came to my place is wowed by the cool laminates and designs and how spacious the place looks. =)

Any more feedbacks or comments on Unimax?

Their 8year warranty is a gimmick, I Agree.

Id not returning my calls after i handed over final payment. We are left to settle our own problems ourselves...

They have been ignoring me for about 2 weeks and counting....

They did the works for my unit and only when I was selling my place did I realize that they did not file the entirety of the works with HDB! I could not handover the flat because HDB refused to certify their checklist!

WTF! And when I called them to complain about it they simply ignored the issue!
I had to engage a PE and another contractor to make up for their mistakes!

Fugging rubbish Company. Go with UNIMAX at your own risk!

Can I check what work u did with them and what documents they need to file with HDB? Is it only certain work need filing and not all work?

Thanks.

I too have previously place a deposit of 200 dollars. But i manage to get it back from them. Not sure how much u place but i feel, if u know that they are gg to screw up, just forget it and take as a lesson learnt instead of risk letting them destroy ur house. otherwise try to exchange for things from their partner shops ....good luck

Never do that. Only when everything is discussed and finalized on contract, then pay.........
