madmax67 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 Hi there If the laminate flooring has warped due to water seepage (and this happened a couple of years ago), is it possible to repair it on my own? If not what's the best way to fix it - do I have to tear out the whole flooring or I can get a contractor to fix that area only? Thanks in advance for any advice. Best Regards

Best Regards It can be repair but costly. Repair on you own depends on your skill and its not easy. laminated flooring has warped due to water can cost your laminated flooring thickness to increase hence when you lay your new laminate flooring, there will be a difference in thickness and the edges are very sharp!!!!! so.... example---- 10 sqft affected, you will have to change like 30 sqft or more depends on the seepage... the best is to get back the contractor that lay that existing flooring because other contractor might not know what brand you use... not all laminated flooring have the same clipping system... good luck...
