Hi Folks,

Being a silent reader all the while before getting my *bling bling* keys, I am quite impressed on all the renovation stories that have taken place and shared in the forum. Very interesting!!!! I am actually hooked reading all the renovation process. Its actually motivating me to work on my dream home for me and my precious daughter.

I already completed all appointments with HDB and have received my keys on 12 July 2010.

Intend to share my floor plan but too bad my company do not allow us to access photobucket, imageframe etc.

So I can't upload my floor plan.

Basically, its a 4A unit (104 sqm) located somewhere in Jurong.

The reason why I buy this unit is that its near my parent's place. My mummy able to help me to look after my daughter while I am at work.

Just started looking for quotations from contractors. Didn't really spend too much time on this as I really do not know who to approach. Been to IMM to seek for quotations from the ID firms but its too expensive and not sincere at all. Even though its ID firms but not creative at all. As compare, the contractors have more ideas and cheaper than the IDs.

Jus to share one of the quotation i have been quoted:

Floor

1. Supply & lay homogeneous tiles **** room, 3 bedrooms & storage area ~$4500

2. Supply & lay ceramic floor tiles at kitchen & 2 toilets ~$1400

3. Lay ceramic or homogeneous floor tiles at mian entrance steps ~$180

4. Construct cabinet base, fridge base & washing machine base ~$340

5. Lay step down kerb for shower screen at master toilet ~$80

Wall

1. To supply and lay wall tiles up to ceiling height at kitchne & 2 toilets ~$3800

2. To install light holder (L Box) **** room and master bedroom ~$800

3. To install false ceiling at master bedroom, passway area (2x) ~$450

Micellaneous

1. Hacking floor, wall & remove rubbish ~$1800

2. Remove existing kitchen cabinet ~$180

3. To provide acid wash whole house ~FOC

4. To paint whole house with ICI paint ~$1200

5. Rewire whole house include install ceiling light ~$2500 (Estimated)

Package @ $1200 + Additional shall be as follows:

a) Install ceiling fan ~$30

b) Install PLC light and run wire ~$35

c) Install air-con point ~$150

d) Install water heater point ~$150

e) Install SCV point ~$150

f) Install telephone point ~$25

Toilet

1. Stainless stain piping for whole house ~$480

2. Supply & install sitting bowl at 2 toilets ~$600

3. Change squatting bowl to sitting bowl in common toilet ~$150

4. Supply & install basin at 2 toilets ~$300

5. Supply & install water heater tank (30 litres) at common toilet ~$320

6. Supply & install hand spray shower at 2 toilets ~$70

7. Supply & intall mixer tap with rain shower at 2 toilets ~$900

8. Install washing machine tap & outlet pipe ~$60

Cabinet / Wardrobe

1. Build in kitchen cabinet top & bottom (14.5 ft) ~$3040

2. To supply solid table top for kitchen cabinet ~$1080

3. To supply & install stainless steel bustbin ~$170

4. Build-in wardrobe at master bedroom with sliding door (7 ft) ~$1540

5. TV console & feature wall in the living room ~$1300

6. Supply & install mirror at the master bedroom (Full height) ~$180

Window

1. To supply and install aluminum sliding or casement window & grilles for the whole house ~$2600

2. To supply aluminum fixed louvre window for 2 toilets ~$360

3. To supply and install PD doors for 2 toilets ~$560

4. To supply and install tempered glass shower screen at master toilet ~$450

5. To supply and install wrought iron gate at main entrance ~$380

6. To supply and install designer doors for 3 bedrooms and storage room ~$1060

Please kindly advise on the quotation.

Is there anything that I have missed out???

Air-con will be done by other contractor.
