Plaster Over Existing Tiles?

My ID quoted and encouraged me to plaster over existing kitchen tiles instead of hacking, cementing and plastering to cut cost.

Is this a good idea? Will the tiles give me trouble later?

i would not advise this approach as the tile adhesive will not stick well to the tiles.

thanks for the advice. I was also thinking the same. Suspect it would probably cost more to repair any damages later..
