wj888 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 I totally understand how u feel. There is a risk involve when u engaged someone who is not in this field and have no experience on doing carpentry before even on his own hse. That's is why I wished u gd luck in the beginning, but seem like its doesn't turn out to be. Condolence to the owner. I have my fair share of fustration with ID Selection. But seeing all the problems you described... I am indeed lucky I choose my current ID. Anyway, it's over and move in happily and buy your beautiful furniture I'm sure the joy of building your dream nest has just started
darkfear 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2010 hey hush girl, i'm really sorry and horrified for your terrible experience with this so-called reno "consultant". What he consults on or with what experience he has I have no idea, but given your detailed account on how trashy he is (and I don't think you have an agenda to criticize him since you are the house owner), ossify should just stop ruining people's lives and get on with his own since he's so bz with his own reno and kid. Don't bite off bigger than you can chew, boy. I can sense your pain and frustration from all your postis hush girl, but hey it's all over and enjoy the coming hols, and try to put this painful episode behind... Selamat Hari Raya
marsbars27 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2010 Hi hush girl, my heart goes out to you as this is a situation which no one should have to go through.. Whilst it’s saddening to hear your frustrations, it’s good that you stepped out to offer your side of the story. I hope you’re getting good help to sort out the locks and everything else, and that you have gotten some money back too. But whatever it is, as darkfear above said, try to put this behind you and enjoy your Hari Raya coming up soon!

hush_girl 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2010 (edited) I have returned your $15k (minus off the outstanding balance with prior consent from your husband) with confirmation of receipt from your husband. All communications regarding payment were made via SMS/phone calls to husband. I cant be bothered anymore but i just need to clarify this matter. The amount of money we paid you is more than the $15k loan that we took. Too bad the loan came late and it was addressed to you. I told you that we would transfer you the balance for the completed reno AFTER we received the $15k from you, money which was rightfully OURS. But i guessed after all these problems, you were afraid that we wouldnt pay you, that is why you took the money first. you seem to think that my husband and i dont communicate with each other and that he is like your good friend. I know every msg and e-mail or converstaion you had with him. He laughed when he saw what you wrote cause we finally realised that either you couldnt understand simple english, or that you are in your own world. He specifically told you to transfer ALL the money and that we would transfer your balance after the completion. This was what we (my husband and i) discussed. I hope your twisted stories will twist you one of these days. The reason why i took you up was because you were just starting out and i wanted to give you the chance to show your work and for me to give you a good testimonial. I have my own business and i know how it feels like to start out. But you're just too big-headed. I really wish your future clients all the best. If you wish me to respond to any other issues, please let me know. Edited September 6, 2010 by hush_girl

hush_girl 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2010 (edited) Hi marsbars27 and darkfear, i had a different intention to write in this t-blog at the end of the reno. It was supposed to be a good testimonial, but alas it was a lot of frustrations and anger that we face. I know some people see him as a reno guru and that is why i want to put things straight. So that people know what to expect and not go through what i had gone through. What was promised didnt materialised and i felt shortchanged. I definitely felt at peace after getting the house back though. We'll have to live with open concept toilets and my kids are just loving it hahahaha. Thank you for your kind wishes. You guys/gals have a great weekend too! Edited September 6, 2010 by hush_girl

We hope that the house will be in good hands but some IDs just take it lightly and dont do their work properly. Truth is we wouldnt know until we try them out right? And that wld have been too late. The good IDs wld have all been taken up and busy and you dont have a choice but to go with others. Yup, definitely over (i hope). It is, the kids are so happy to be at their own house where they have their own rooms. Thank you for your kind wishes Edited September 6, 2010 by hush_girl

On 2 September, 4.28pm, I informed your husband via SMS that I have arranged the painter to come at 2pm on saturday for the touching up of your piping and that I will transfer the remaining 5k less the outstanding balance (which was 2 days past due). On 2 September, 5pm, he responded agreeably. On 2 September, 7.19pm, I forwarded your husband via SMS the confirmation of transfer of the remaining money. On 4 September, 10.47am, he confirmed the receipt of all the outstanding balance and asked me to inform him should there be any shortchange of payment on his side. Anyway, thank you for giving me the chance. It was quite an experience working for you.
