The downlights in the living room Lbox have all been taken down and the holes are patched.

Shower kerb has been constructed in both bathrooms.

There is now alot of carpentry items in the living room, waiting to be installed.

This looks like our long TV console, so long that is has to be done in 2 parts?

This should be the shoe cabinet.

Here's the kitchen cabinet below the sink. We requested to have tiled bottom and back as we're paranoid about leakage and rotting wood.

Kitchen cabinet on the other wall, with the 3 drawers. We've tested the 3 drawers and the soft closure mechanisms are already in!

And finally, last photo for today, a bunch of mirrors in the bedroom. We're not sure where these mirrors are supposed to go to.

Regarding the common bathroom's toilet bowl issue, we're not quite sure what to make of it. The original measurement we were given is 4" toilet bowl, so we bought a 5" that came with an offset pan collar. Eventually, the plumber found that the measurement of the wall to the centre of the hole is 3.5", so that's problem #1.

Problem #2: The offset pan collar has a diameter of 4", and the outlet pipe on the floor has a diameter of 3.5", so it won't fit! After calling the shop where we bought our bathroom accessories (Ze Tong Trading at Sims Ave), we found that pan collars have a fixed diameter of 4", so Jeremy will probably have to get someone to chip at the hole on the ground to enlarge it.

We're quite confused about this as well. Not sure if anyone knows whether we can still use our 5" toilet bowl with another offset pan collar to fit our measurements? According to Serene from Ze Tong, ideally if we don't wish to offset too much, we should buy another toilet bowl, but it's going to be the old kind where you can see "elephant trunks snaking down the sides" <-- her quote! Sounds ugly...

U shld buy after they tell u the measurement. I went to buy after they told me. Then somehow, the size changed and they told me to go change a new one. It is a hassle and the replacement model is ugly (refer earlier post). Right now, I am waiting for Leslie to tell me what to do.

Hopefully he will be able to use a 2" offset pan collar with the current WC i bought. This is the most ideal for everyone. Cos i dowan the replacement WC to spoil the whole house design!

As a guide, always check with them u buy anything. safest.

I'm not sure if it's sharp. From the photos, it looks like not rounded huh. Thanks for the heads up! Need to check the next time we pop by.

Yeah, it looks too shallow right? Just seems a little weird... And it slants quite visibly towards the centre, I suppose so that water will flow towards the floor trap. We've flagged this out to Leslie and Jeremy, hope they can take a look at it the next time they pop by.

Anyway carpentry is done! But for the dish rack, I had thought it's quite standard for the door to open out and up, i.e. staying perpendicular to the floor at all times, like what I saw at 2 friends' newly renovated houses. However, turns out that it opens out to 90 degrees, to become parallel to the floor. The worse thing is my wife can't really reach the door when it's fully open, so when opening, she needs to release halfway and let it slam fully open, and for closing, she needs to hop. Really hope they can change this, else it's really not user-friendly.
