woody 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) Cheaper alternative to larder.. My 1m long Blum drawers for plates and bowls..great for my old folks as they dont have to bend over to look for plates.. Irex (Samsung) hinge with soft closing mechanism (instead of Blum to keep to budget) A clever solution suggested by my carpenter to make it easier to open cabinet doors without handle, esp when your hands are oily.. luffs-n-lingz 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2010 So glad to see you posting again! Anyway, the ceiling fans which you are using are all KDK ones? The 4 blades fan is the newest 56" model?

Yep..point to note, my mum found the 3 blade KDK right above the bed in the guest room abit too 'directly above her' and it could get quite cold at night..so in the end, got to use the standing fan for her.. Which 3-blade fan is that? I believe it is KDK A11YS which comes with a remote control right? My hubby and I are contemplating if we should install ceiling fans in the bedrooms just in case the weather gets cold and we don't need the air-con. Either this fan is really good or if not it means that your mum is really scared of cold. Hehe... Which one is it? Anyway, the 4-blade fan is KDK V56VK is it? This fan is more expensive than those normal fans made in China / Taiwan etc right. But is it good? I like KDK V60WK but i don't know if I should be paying so much for a ceiling fan in the living room.

Hi! guess its the position of the fan, its directly above her head and she said its abit of 'headache' with the wind blown at her head directly.. nope, shes quite warm and usually sleeps in air-con.. Yes the 3 blade is good for small area like bedrooms and usually speed 2 or 1 (max 3) is good enough. And yes, it comes with remote control. We find V56 good enough for our living room as it comes with 5 speed controls..oh KDK is very lasting and sure worth your money.. Our previous 5 blade generic brand cost us about 100++ but not as silent and coverage scope not as wide. Hence, got to fix it very near the sofa, unlike V56 which we had it in the middle of the living room and still feel the wind from the sofa.. You may want to try *spam trading at AMK Ave 4 as we found their prices lowest. We got an uncle to come to fix the fan at $35 each (*spam charges around 60) with balancing done and we are quite happy. PM me if you want the contact of the uncle. Hope this helps. I also got mine from Everjoint but my electrician helped me to install. Yes, mine too. And from certain angle, it looks abit 'lop-sided' though the uncle said its 'balanced'

My hubby and I are in a dilemma whether to install ceiling fan in the rooms. If we were to have ceiling fans, then we need to think how we want to put the lights (we don't like ceiling fans with lights). Anyway, I guess KDK is all about paying for what you get. I have heard many good reviews on KDK fans and in fact all the standing fans in my mum's house are KDK. Yes, we were at *spam last weekend to pay for our washing machine and fridge and the uncle quoted us fir V56 and V60. Cheaper than outside I believe but I think it would be cheaper if we get it from JB? Haha... Do you have any experience buying electrical stuff from JB? Wow, *spam charges $60 for one fan ah? The uncle did say how much he charges but I cannot remember offhand. PM me the contact of the installatio uncle just in case I need it. Thanks i advance! Oh take a look at my rooms, we had the lights at one side and the fan a distance away and the brightness is not compromised. Quite happy with that layout.. Will pm you the contact..
