Top-hung Bifold Door Opens When Bedroom Door Opens

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have installed top-hung aluminium bifold door for my master bedroom, without bottom track.

However, whenever the aircon is turned on, and I open my master bedroom door, the aircon-wind causes the bifold door to open as well. :bangwall:

Any way to get around it without installing a bottom track?

The current lock is to lock when you are inside the toilet.

My contractor told me cannot install a 2nd lock from the outside....thought of locking the bifold door from both inside and outside of toilet....

Appreciate your ideas.

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

its probably caused by the air pressure that is generated within the room when the main door opens. try opening the door SLOWLY and see if it happens.

if its the pressure. i doubt theres anything u can do about it.

it doesnt happen when aircon not on is it because without aircon on, the windows are open?

Nope toilet door does not open if aircon is not switched on.

For folks who have installed bifold toilet door in master bedroom and aircon is switched on, what do you do ????

white powder coated with solid white acrylic panel

anyway, my hubby discovered it was because the door was installed incorrectly, vs the common toilet bifold door.

when the common toilet bifold door closes, it has a 'click' sound.

so my contractor came into rectify it.

but still, when closing, the master toilet 'click' sound is not as loud as the common toilet door.

will monitor.
