Guest rhema83 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) I always believed that reviews made when one first move in are not accurate. I would be too excited to give a balanced review, and defects in workmanship may not show up so soon. So, I am writing this much-delayed t-Blog after moving in for over 6 months. Of course, another reason is that I kept forgetting to post this despite promising my interior designer that I would. Anyway, my home is a 110-sq.m HDB 5I resale flat in Compassvale. It was renovated in Oct - Dec 2009. We engaged engaged Peter Low from Earnest Interiors. I wanted something simple but elegant, and the pictures I saw on the Earnest website caught my eyes. So, I decided to give it a try. Here goes... Guest rhema83 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) 3 Oct 2009 First, let's look at how the resale flat was when we took over the keys. It was not a pretty sight. With all due respect to the previous owner - how could he live with it? The living room Edited July 6, 2010 by rhema83

Guest rhema83 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) 30 Oct 2009 The tile laying has started. We chose homogeneous tiles for the entire floor as they are easier to take care of than laminate. Here we have glossy floor tiles for the living room, which makes it look brighter and bigger. Then we have matte floor tiles for the rooms and kitchen to have some variety. The black and white tiles for the bathrooms were really nice. Finally, my wife chose some funky crocodile-skin-esque tiles for the kitchen. Guest rhema83 Report post Posted July 3, 2010 11 Nov 2009 Another two weeks passed. By now the painting, carpentry and tiling works are complete. Lights are also ready. The flat itself is almost complete. We used earth tones for the entire flat and have accent walls to add some spice.
