This is the standard for $50 per door....labour to paint and material cost only. If really want do a proper job such as removing old paints, sand and paint again...its will cost as least 3-5x more and it won't finish in 1 day, need more days to complete all. $10-$15 for 1 tin of paint, masking tape, brush, etc per door... then the rest is transportation fee and labour cost. So it consider cheap labour to paint the door. Moreover, if too many coatings, your door may not be able to close properly. Ask them to paint that portion can liao rather than doing all the doors. Reno_Foo 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2010 Not exactly is better. It also have to depends on how bad the scratches is. Working with my dad as a Project Manager, I do agree that your painting work is quite cheap already. As Jaskel said, it can easily be 5x more than this price considered the work involved. One of our recent client in renovating his commercial dance studio faced the same problem. His painting work on the toilet door is done by a previous contractors is too thick and causes difficulties in closing the door. In fact, the door knot is being pulled so hard just to closed it that over the years it is more or less falling off.
