LOL.... nope my company is not SecreT.... okie to put it more accurately, it's the so-called "restricted area" (not banned's home ) that doesn't allow pple to bring camera... but the thing is they also dun check everyone's bag and i suay suay kenna... argh! yup actually that road name you talking about... i also dunno how to pronounce properly hahaha.. yeah my restricted zone also "No camera no laptop no thumbdrive".. except for authorized personnel.. So no photo sharing for my house... hahaha..
bearlyn2406 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2010 I like the shaddy tress in old place. The New one good if u need doctor's appt, lunch time go see doc easy! Try pronouncing the road name to the cab driver, 1/2 will give u a blank stare. Start with S and ends with T? SecreT? Nice try.. hahaha.. yeah my restricted zone also "No camera no laptop no thumbdrive".. except for authorized personnel.. So no photo sharing for my house... hahaha.. banned, u shd say, "No camera, no laptop, no thumbdrive, no OT, no money, no freedom, we only have 'NO'nense and 'NO'thing" is good.. marshmallow 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) Now that my reno is completed, i guess i will talk about the transformation room-by-room, rather than in chronological order I shall start with... hmmm living room and study room refering to the original floor plan here, you can see that this Bedroom 3 (which is the study room) has a really weird door location - very "secretive" - suitable for agents like us but not good for home safety aspect cos no one in the house can see what is going on in this room... what if i fainted in the room?? nobody will know lor... so... see our plan here... we decided to hack the wall between study room and living room for the following reasons - 1) Improve air circulation - after hacking this wall, there is cross ventilation between the living and study room windows - more windy and cooling 2) The whole house will look bigger and more airy once this wall is gone 3) Better "visibility" to the study room - we are replacing the wall with sliding glass door i'm now assured that i won't be left unnoticed if i really fainted there... hee hee Here are some in-progress pics... Top row - before hacking, Bottom row - after hacking: Original door entrance was sealed up... plastering in progress: Edited August 23, 2010 by marshmallow
marshmallow 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) erm... paiseh, before i go on with more photos, got one question to ask you all... we still need to get a shoe cabinet, but till now still cannot decide where to put it... we have two locations in mind: (A) on right hand side of the main door, just below the light switches and next to the dining table. (B) on the left of the main door, just below the windows and behind the sofa... at where the tv box is right now... sorry... the house still very messy as you can see in the photo while location (B) has more space for the cabinet, it seems a bit odd to have the shoe cabinet there... like got one cabinet in the middle of nowhere... (A) seems to be a better location, but it's smaller and i'm not sure if it would make the dining table looks cramped... comments are greatly welcome... thanks in advance huh Edited August 23, 2010 by marshmallow
curryqueen 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2010 Hey, we've got the same ceiling fan! Fanco Aroma, right? How much did you get it for? I think under the light switch better, then can pull the chair from the dining area to sit down and wear shoes.

I got it for $295, dunno if it's expensive or not? i didn't compare price last time... haha pulling out the chair to wear shoes is good... i didn't think of that at all definately at B.. I dun wan to eat beside my shoes.. LOL initially i was thinking of that too, but i won't be sitting there 95% of the time... my guest will eat besides my shoes maybe

Supersimon27 2 Report post Posted August 25, 2010 I guess a "covered" shoe rack with seats on top would help...? I like this ideal . can sit down and wear shoes ... but hor .... if this design , then the amount of shoes that can put will be much lesser. Got to see if marsh is a shoes gal or bag gal . lol
